There’s no tie-in Bloodletter for The Vampire Lestat today, as we’re saving that for when we’ve covered every episode next week. Instead, with new members joining recently, we wanted to send a quick update to ensure everyone knows how the Bite Club works and what perks you get for financially supporting Vampire Videos.

How Your Membership Works
Whether you support us via Ko-fi or on Substack, you become a Bite Club member.
To keep things simple, all supporters are enrolled in our paid tier on Substack. This allows us to deliver all your perks and bonus content directly in one convenient place.

How Your Support Improves the Podcast
Every penny raised goes directly into improving the podcasting experience for our loyal fans. Your contributions help cover essential operational costs, including:
Website and domain hosting fees.
Commissions for artists and musicians.
Social tools (e.g., premium Linktree features).
We treat your support with respect: funds are strictly used for podcast creation, marketing, and administration. It’s never for personal luxuries or even items for relevant research, like book purchases and film rentals.
A Note on Recrypted
In 2026, we launched a side project: Recrypted: A Tales From The Crypt Podcast.
Initially, we kept our Bite Club funds separate. However, after advice from fellow podcasters and feedback from listeners—who said they expect to support us as creators—we decided that your support may cover minor expenses for Recrypted.
Since Recrypted is a shorter, limited project, over 99% of Bite Club funds will remain dedicated to Vampire Videos. Most importantly, your support will never be used for any project outside of what Dan Owen and Hugh McStay create together.
